Prevention and improvement of various modes, causes and effects of microswitches can greatly improve the reliability of microswitches:
1. In order to prevent the contact resistance from being out of tolerance and the opening and closing mechanism from failing, the micro switch is designed with a contact material with low tortoise resistivity, not easy to generate various films that are unfavorable for electrical conductivity, good resistance to electrical wear, and high limit arc parameters. . Two different metals are used to form a contact pair, and the contact pressure is increased to crush the contamination film or cause relative sliding friction during the contact reversal process to clear the film and prevent the accumulation of wear objects.
2. In order to limit the metal splashing and material transfer caused by the arc of the micro switch and the electric spark, in addition to the methods described above, the arcing time can also be reduced by improving the arc extinguishing ability:
(1) For switches used at high altitudes, the air-tight type is adopted, and the air is pumped and filled with inert gas or dry air.
(2) Increase the contact gap under the premise of ensuring the technical parameters of the micro switch,
(3) Adopt double breakpoint contact system,
(4) Increase the disconnection speed.
3. When the micro switch fails due to poor insulation resistance, select a good high temperature anti-aging plastic in the design, and use the methods described in 1 and 2 to reduce the electrical wear of the contacts.
4. When the pressure and stroke are out of tolerance, adjust the action point of the transmission element, replace the material of the transmission element, and design the contact gap, considering the size and hardness of the spring sheet to prevent its fatigue.
5. In order to avoid the poor instantaneousness and excessive jumping time of the micro switch, redesign the shape and size of the spring leaf, use a material with better elasticity and hardness, and adjust the mechanism to make it better.
6. Improve the brazing quality of the micro switch, and the assembly and debugging are good to prevent poor structural relationship.
7. In order to prevent the breakage of the micro switch housing, the quality must be ensured during debugging and installation, the maintenance and inspection during use should be strengthened, and the structure should be improved to increase the limit device.

At present, the micro switches on the domestic market have different mechanical lifespans ranging from 3W times to 1000W times according to different use requirements. Generally, there are 10W times, 20W times, 50W times, 100W times, 300W times, 500W times and 800W times, which are generally used in China. Beryllium bronze, tin bronze and stainless steel wire are used as reeds. Foreign ALPS can achieve up to 1000W times. Their reeds are made of rare metal titanium.
